It is with pleasure that we present you the new logo of the ACTMD, approved unanimously by the Board of directors. The official presentation of the new name of our association and its new logo that reflect the plurality of its members, is an important moment in the history of the Association.

During the extraordinary assembly, which took place on October 19, 2005, it was voted with the members assisting, that the Association would have a new name in order to answer to the variety of approaches of its members. Although the current name indicates that the Association gathers massage therapists (72.4 %) and other therapists in alternative medicines (27.6 %), the members chose a more generic name allowing all to become identified with the Association, no matter what their approaches are.

A logo establishes a visual representation of the fundamental values of an institution. We take advantage of this occasion to make you aware of the symbolism of the various aspects of the one that represents us.

  • The shape of the hand, by its opening upward, symbolizes the opening, the support of the therapist and the will to receive from the client.
  • The typography, reminds by its rounded and very legible forms, smoothness, simplicity and a clear information
  • The turquoise color represents peace, welcome, serenity, durability and kindness
  • The butterfly represents the choice to come to recharge beside the hand, the lightness after the cares therefore well-being, freedom

The development and preservation of a solid and coherent associative identity, are an integral part of purposes aimed by the Association. This logo symbolizes the anchorage of an always bigger will to help, to support its members in their professional progress by offering them to maintain their competence up to date inside the associative life.

It is important to note that the two names (ACTMD/ACDM) will still continue to exist for a wile.
